Nimish Adani had a dream that he kept shelving every now and then. Then realization dawned on him - we have but one life to live, and today is as good a day as any to begin. He channeled his energies, seized the day and emerged as the founder of Workosaur. Nimish says “I have wasted too much time wondering how things would shape up and what I could achieve individually. I delayed the thought of starting Workosaur.com because I had no background in technology and neither did I have the money to employ a development team. I would use such reasons to stay away from starting up though the itch would persist. Then last April, I had a near-death experience after which I chose to take a month’s leave from work. I felt then that I had just been escaping the obvious all the while. What I needed to know in technology, I could always Google and learn; and if I could not learn, I always had friends to fall back upon. Moreover, I started believing that the dots do somehow connect.”

After a brush with oblivion, there was no stopping Nimish or Workosaur. He explains what Workosaur is all about saying “Workosaur is an online job board for senior positions - C-level, vice president, director and manager positions. We focus on aggregating the most lucrative jobs in India and overseas - i.e. jobs that pay more than Rs. 10+ lac per annum.

The audience for Workosaur.com includes those who are eligible for jobs that pay more than Rs. 10 L per annum. So you could say our target audience is anyone who is currently earning a package in excess of Rs. 7.5 L per annum. And by our estimates, there are more than 1.5 million professionals in India who fall in this bracket and who could benefit from Workosaur.com. Naturally, our services will also help employers looking to recruit senior talent. Small and Medium-sized organizations that find it difficult to recruit talent will find our site particularly useful.”

Workosaur not only caters to higher management, but has many factors that make it different from most job portals. Nimish explains “First, in case of Workosaur, I do not provide access to the resume database and so it is a more secure system for senior professionals seeking jobs.”

“Second, I actively source jobs from the alumni communities and yahoogroups of top b-schools and engineering schools. Recruiters who use these groups prefer not to post their openings on the popular jobsites.”

“Third, if you log on to workosaur.com you would see the simplicity in the user interface – right from the search and browse feature to the forms. Users (both employers and jobseekers) don’t have to fill in more than 3-4 fields anywhere.”

“The usage of Workosaur is currently free for employers and jobseekers. The commercial model shall be rolled out soon but shall ancillary to the core job posting and application functionalities. I intend to keep the core functionalities free.”
