Entrepreneurship is more than new business creation; it is the art of taking action to solve neglected problems in society. Effective entrepreneurship engages, empowers and excites. The Global Entrepreneurship Forum is the celebration of entrepreneurship at INSEAD and the meeting point of INSEAD’s leading entrepreneurs and venture investors.
The next Global Entrepreneurship Forum will be held on 14 May 2010 in Fontainebleau to coincide with the INSEAD Leadership Summit under the entrepreneurship track. The track will feature a close look at the global trends in angel investing, fire pitches by leading entrepreneurs searching for funding, a panel discussion on effective entrepreneurial leadership and the announcement of an initiative to celebrate INSEAD’s leading entrepreneurs.
The GEF is led by Filipe Santos, Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship, Director, Rudolf and Valeria Maag International Centre for Entrepreneurship (Maag ICE).
The Rudolf and Valeria Maag International Centre for Entrepreneurship (Maag Centre) is the catalyst for innovation at INSEAD in entrepreneurship teaching, research and outreach. We also support the INSEAD Social Entrepreneurship Initiative.

Panel 1 – Global Angel Investing: Funding the Innovators of Tomorrow
While venture capital and private equity get the media attention, angel investors are the catalysts and funders of the great majority of entrepreneurial innovations. We discuss the global trends affecting angel investing and present GAIN: the Global Angel Investing Network for the INSEAD community.
The core of the session is a set of outstanding pitches: Seven seasoned INSEAD entrepreneurs have seven minutes to secure support for their transformational innovations.
A networking lunch will facilitate deal-making and matching of smart money with entrepreneurial talent inspired by a world changing vision.
